Actually I told two of my friends, and they actually thought it was cool. But everyone else might think I'm crazy...

I've had that sometimes. Most of my friends think it is cool, although some are skeptical. My dad is very skeptical about it and thinks it is all rubbish, which can be annoying sometimes. Then again, my dad is very skeptical about everything. I've tried to explain it to him, but he just doesn't see how it can be possible no matter what I say.

It's weird, the same day I wrote my response (up there^^^) my mom asked me for the book about LDing because she wanted to read it. Maybe she does care?
I agree with you Rai Saix, they should really show something about it on the news. But, I remember seeing something like that on youtube, where they were talking about it on the news.

YES !!! If people don't experience dreaming the way some of us do , they totally can't understand at all . Forget about trying to explain lucid and dream learning to them ---they'll have me locked up !!

argh, i hate this! i'll try and tell my siblings or friends about my most recent lucid dream or a somewhat exciting dream and they'll become really skeptical and say that i'm making all of it up. my brothers think i'm weird for my RC's and DJ.

Most of my friends actually think it is cool, but I only brought it up (actually wrote about it on a blog so they knew about it before I ever spoke to them about it) to my very closest friends. My mom and sister think it is pretty cool. My sister and dad are both naturals, and my dad tells me I spend too much time sleeping. I keep trying to tell him to develop his LDing and dream control but he thinks I'm acting like a 4 year old or something My brother has no recall whatsoever and never talks about dreaming, so if it weren't for my mom and sis I think even he would think I was crazy
Hey, maybe one of them will have an LD because of you and realize that you're actually the sanest of them all I mean jeez, they can't even recognize the ridiculous situations of their dreams and distinguish them from reality. Now that sounds pretty insane to me!

Off topic, but wasn't horse riding invented after the founding of civilization? Cro Magnon wouldn't have been around that late.

My friends all really think lucid dreams are cool. A few have tried it but most aren't dedicated enough to really try. My good friend actually had a LD last night. I don't mention lucid dreaming except to people I think will be interested. I've never had anyone tell me it's impossible or anything like that.

      I had no idea!

until about 10 minutes ago, i didn't know there was anything BUT lucid dreaming... i have had them all my life, and thought they were normal. I mentioned one to my friend tonight and went to go see what people said online, and here i am! I've had so many in my lifetime i feel like there's just so much to say! So right now, this is pretty dang ecxciting. If it wasnt for my friends, i wouldnt know that not everybody has em...

      My parents aren't really skeptical about it or anything, or look at me like I'm crazy. They just usually comment on how freaky it sounds to actually realise you're dreaming. xD;
However, I usually don't talk about it with people who don't know anything about it; luckily a really good friend of mine can naturally lucid dream and we often talk about it. : )

I told someone from school about it, but he didn't really believe me..he tought that I was on drugs or something like that. But I can understand why people don't want to learn how to do it; It's just way too hard. I've had 2 short lucids in 2 years. Hard work, no rewards? I think I'll just sleep like normal people.
      Current projects:

      -Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active

Yeah, the first people I told was my sister and best friend, their cool with it, my best friend even has tried to LD, she's had a couple. My dad thinks I might become like possessed by the devil or something, he kept warning me about whether it was safe or not
My mom doesn't care and nor do my brothers, but boy they are missing out BIG time.
      Oh well

LDing is the least of my concerns. I am still in the closet to most people I know as a Pagan witch, an asexual, an intersexual, a neutrois and an otherkin. Lucid Dreaming is just one extra thing on a long list of things that would probably make people think I'm crazy. And even one of the more believable things on the list, too.

I've yet to be called crazy, but not many people I talk to about the subject can grasp the concepts I try to explain. Especially the fact that a dream can reach the same vividness experienced in real life. Perhaps I'm bad at explaining, or perhaps they're unwilling to accept it.

Of those, the only ones I don't understand your usage of is intersexual and neutrois. But yeah, I'm there. Lucid dreaming tends to fold into a general level of weirdness.

In the past my weirdness stuck out, these days the people around me are... well. I'm surprised when if they manage to get out of bed in the morning without a horrible disaster. I'm normal.

Intersex is my genetic and physical condition of being between male and female, and neutrois is the mental condition of being between male and female
