Well, last time I noticed that I know that I'm dreaming in all my dreams! The matter is whether I REALIZE that I know it.
I noticed that often I do something in a dream 'because it's only a dream', it doesn't mean I'm lucid and that I say aloud 'oh I'll do / I won't do it because it's only a dream', I rather mean that somewhere in my subconsciouness there's always this little lucidity and I base my decisions on it.
It doesn't mean I don't have nightmares or I'm not afraid of things that are going on in dreams - I do and I am but it is rather similiar to playing a role in some movie. After waking up I almost always have this feeling 'hummm through all this dream, I kind of knew I was dreaming. Why didn't I realize that? '.
So for example I never had a need (during my 6 LDs ) for reality checks. When the idea of realizing that it's a dream pops into my mind, I immediately know that it's a dream as if this awareness was waiting there for me all the time. And it's not that shocking at all (but it's very pleasant of course). Maybe this is why all my lucid dreams happened by accident, naturally. If I could just do something to REALIZE it more often...
So I wonder - does everybody have the same experiences?
