I find that my subc. is much more honest than my conscious mind. It won't lie to me or try to protect my feeling from getting hurt.

I totally understand what TheMoon is saying. The subconscious is very much a part of us. It controls us more than we like to think, this is why I want to be on such good terms with mine. I want to know what is going on and what I can do to make my life run more smoothly. I like to think of my subc. as my friend.
This will just take me a little practice to not force answers. Thanks for the tips!

Someone should write a tutorial on how to talk to your Sub Consious...

I so want to try this!

Should I be in a relaxing area?
How would I start off a convo with my SC?
How would I be able to tell if it's just me making up a fake convo with my own thoughts? Does the SC have a different voice that is distuishable?

Edit: And is auto suggestion where you say your going to do something outloud?
And when I give my SC a name, should I think it or say it out loud too?

I'm pretty skeptical as to if this is really talking to your subconscious... aren't you just writing down the first thing that comes to mind unfiltered?

I thought the point of a subconsious was that it was SUBconsious. It doesn't operate on the same cognative level that your consious self does. how can you interact with something that doesn't function on the same level that your consious self does, let alone get answers to thought provoking questions?

The subconscious is sort of seperate. It rules our emotions, our instincts, our deep desires and drives, our fears. It uses dreams to not only organize new info and relate it to old info, but also to expolre our fears and desires.

Because our subconscious is basicaly us -- but is "unflitered" and not forced to be socially acceptable. That is why I think it is useful to write what first comes to mind, since this first impulse is most likely to be a reaction from the subconscious.

Really, there is no way to know if you are actually getting answers from the subconscious or are just making stuff up. To me it "feels" different -- more like a reaction and less like it has been thought out.

For me it works best to be someplace where there are few other distractions. I also try to relax and get my conscious mind to shut up as much as possible.

I always start out with something like "Hello" or "I need to talk to you" or even "Thank you."

For me my subconscious doesn't sound different than my own voice -- as it is me, just my more instinctual self.

Autosuggestion is a form of meditation that used a word, phrase, or sentenct as a mantra. You can say it out loud, but saying it in your head is fine. The idea is to repeat your mantra a bunch of times.

I haven't named my subconscious, so I don't know what would be best.

You could ask a DC for your subconscious's name.

When I named mine, I mouthed the name like I was lip synching while basically shouting it in my head.

Everything you said here seeker is the same it is for me too.

One important thing everyone must know about your SC. Even if you cant directly communicate with it.

It is always there, and it is always listening, you and your SC shares the same brain, it knows everything you know.

Its extremely hard to separate what is just being made up and what your SC is telling you.

I think its easier to lucid dream and WILD then it is to talk to your SC.

Unless your in a WILD, mainly because your SC is in control of the WILD. It becomes much easier to communicate with it.

So all I really have to do, is find a place that I'm most comfortable with, do some autosuggestion like "My subconscious will talk to me when I ask for it." Then I can try talking to it by asking if it will talk to me like "Subconscious I wish to talk to you." And hope it talks back?

When you think about it that's actually true.
People communicate a lot visually (expression, body language).
Sub-conscious may well be more aware if this than your conscious mind.

I tried this last night, but nothing really happened. I my subconsiousness asked why I couldn't have a good conversation with it. It said I wasn't trying. I must've been tired, because I remember some really cool spikey turtles running around in my mind. I tried talking to it again, but the turtles just turned into spikey rabbits. Maybe I should try it when I'm not tired.

It's hard to concentrate on one thing...

And then I sometimes wonder off in my mind and think about other things instead of trying to talk to my SC.

There should definately be a seperate thread for SC, this could be a excellent sub-topic for people who are interested.

I'm pretty sure I talk to my SC, it usually encourages me or tells me "how it is" like at work if I think I can't do something it will tell me that I can and that I'm perfectly capable of completing a task. Or sometimes it will start the conversation as a reply like "what was his deal?" and then I would reply "I don't know I guess he's grumpy" or something to that effect.

Does this sound like a SC or am I just talking to myself?

      Any help would be great
