That's is pretty cool. I've heard the song for years now, but had no idea it was about lucid dreaming.

Anyone hear the Franz Ferdinand song "Lucid Dreams"? It's getting a lot of radio play at the moment.

I've known this song for half my life, but I never had a clue that... it was relating to lucid dreaming?

yeah like i said most non lucid dreamers when they listen to the lyrics they think "oh this song is about heaven"

go look at the comments of that video like 50% of them say something about the song being about heaven

It is ridiculous how many people think it's about heaven, I understand the song can be interpreted that way, but c'mon, the first lines are:


"When dreaming..."


then there's:


"At sunrise I fight to stay asleep"



Where do you get heaven out of that? The only lines that can attributed as being about heaven are "Where blind men see" and the "Golden streets" part, but iirc, people who have been blind for only part of their life can see in their dreams and there can obviously be golden streets in your dreams seeing as how dreams are nonsensical.

yeah and at one part it says

"set up high im strong enough to take these dreams and make them mine"
