Thread: Ways to spot another LDer

I like the bracelet idea that someone mentioned. They should be blue.... just blue. Because that is the color of dreaming. I also like the watch idea with the vibrate function! Great ideas, Shift.

Thanks Haha I was actually thinking of blue when I suggested them, blue is my absolute favorite color Although if they were ever made they could come in a range of colors. They could say reality check and/or lucid dreaming. Maybe even both, and the bracelet could be flipped inside-out, so you could choose which was on the outside. Then if you just wanted people to ask you, you could have 'lucid dreaming' on the outside, or you could flip it and use them for RCs, and the fact that they change would make it a better RC anyway.

I would still totally buy one of those watches. Recession and all

Wow, that sounds like a great idea. It's not like anyone would really question you for wearing one either.

I would love for someone to walk up to me and say "Are you dreaming?" or something like that. I feel so disconnected from the LD community during day to day life. One day someone will notice that I check my watch like four times before I'm satisfied with the time.

Erm. Isn't there a facebook group and numerous other threads concerning this? Like, the people in another thread had decided on a salute type-thing where you just attempted to push your index finger through your palm, being kind of obvious, so any other LDer can immediately realize that you are reality checking. But if you guys want to go with bracelets, be my guest.

Why not carry something that represents a personal dream symbol or reality-checker? These could be in the form of a tattoo, jewelry, charm, etc....

It may be more subtle (perhaps less effective), but I don't know...just throwing the idea out there.
