Right, so if there is one thing I HATE doing in the middle of the night, it's waking up. |

Do you wake up briefly in the night? If you do you can take advantage of that window and 'insert' your reality check inside. It's not proven but I think there is a possiblility a window of suggestability exists when you wake up after a dream. So the minute you find/feel yourself awake is to do a reality check and go back to sleep but reaction speed is critical as you wait too long to execute the Rc the window closes as you are more awake, it has worked a few times for me. An action like this does affect dream recall so you have to sacrifice the first REM periods to get the LD on later REMs. Chances are the later it gets the more difficult to do the RC fast and that difficulty creates the LD....I can't really say Y but that's how I think it works also. |

I'm pretty sure DILD and MILD don't require you to wake up during the night. |

I sometimes wake up in the middle of the night after having a dream. But this doesn't always happen. And it doesn't really bother me much either. |

Just keep a light on. My desk has a fluorescent lamp that I keep on when I sleep, and I have NO problems sleeping! |
