      Scare your Nightmares?

I haven't actually had an LD yet, but with the Tendency to have Nightmares... alot, I plan on trying this out. Say in your LD, you get attacked by some sort of monster, are there ways that you could like say, use a mirror on the monster to scare it back, if you belive it will scare the monster, then it will probably work. Or even better, this just crossed my mind, will yourself into "Becoming the Nightmare" and everything will fear you. I just brought this up since I noticed alot of people are getting some freaky dreams, I just want to fill your mind with ideas incase you find yourself in that situation. If I get in a Nightmare, I'm going to turn into something bigger and scarier, and kick it's Nightmarish-ass, or turn it into a cute bunny, but whatever suits you.

You don't need to scare away the things in your nightmares because they are only there because you are thinking they are, if you simply think to yourself they are not there, they will go away...

I remember years ago I was dreaming. I was lucid and demons were attacking me so I took on the identity of Satan an ripped them to peices. It was satisfying.

I think self-control is the most promising way to handle nightmares and it probably pays off in waking reality too. When you face whatever it is that frightens you, it will most probably solve that issue permanently.

By facing I mean staying calm, knowing that nothing can hurt you and letting the situation dissolve not feeding your fear. Of course that reaction most likely requires lucidity, but since you wrote it in the general lucid discussion forum, I guess that applies anyway.
