Simple answer: Yes. Complex answer: No. In REM sleep you'll get better at practice insomuch as the aspects of the skill that the the brain directly controls... If it's a physical skill, you're limited because of the paralyzation that occurs during sleep. You can't affect muscle memory because the muscles aren't moving, but the higher brain functions as well as motor coordination required for the skill would generally improve... |
