Does anyone use Lucid Dreaming to help answer Problems with waking life?

Does anyone use Lucid Dreaming to help answer Problems with waking life?

I read in Carlos Casteneda that they can be used to gain answers to problems or give solutions to situations in waking life... has any one else had any experience of this???

Oh yeah! I do this a lot. It is THE reason I got so involved in LDing in the first place.

Can you give some examples of how your problems were solved and how you went about solving them?

coz i read that when you become lucid you can ask a question about some issue in ur waking life - and the dream gives you an answer - i have tried this but its really difficult to understand the answer.

I agree that it is sometimes difficult to understand dream answers.

I've used my LDs to talk to my subconscious about problems I've been having -- anxiety, depression, stress. The way I do this is to become lucid, then out loud state my desire to speak to a representitive of my subconscious. Then a DC will either come forward or appear and we will talk. Usually they are very helpful and wise, but sometimes hard to understand.

I've gone on vacation in LDs to help me deal with stress.

I've confronted DCs of people I've been mad at or arguing with so that I can practice what I will say and do in waking life. Sometimes I do this with people from my childhood who I can't talk to in waking life. This helps me feel that I have some kind of closure.

I use LDs to develop ideas for art and writing.

I use LDs to confront my fears.

There are SO many ways to use LDs!
