Is there anyone out there that has a lucid dream every night?

      Just wondering

I just have to say that I really wouldn't want to because it would ruin the whole mysterious fun sort of vibe lucid dreaming has for me and I love that feeling of working to acheive something.

I have them almost every night, I'm just randomly doing something in my dream them suddenly, BAM I'm like "Oh my god, I'm lucid!" Then I do my usual reality checks and wander around.

I do whenever I try and occasionally when I'm not.
If you want more lucid dreams, read this forum/post on it before going to bed

I didn't the first couple weeks I tried, but now I have one every time I actually try (usually more than one) and I'll still sometimes have one when I don't try.

I'm not sure if I'd consider myself a natural or not though since I only had LDs about once every few months, if that, before I started trying.

No, not every night. The majority of my dreams are lucid though. When I'm not lucid dreaming, I'm passively watching beautiful images and listening to sounds.

Same here, there was a time a few years ago when I started having lucid dreams on a nightly basis without trying to. Lots of weird things happened then, which I may or may not have posted about, but in any case it tapered off after a while.

Now-a-days I just have really bizarre dreams, they seem hyper-real to me but I can't seem to attain lucidity.

i was going to post a thread similar to this.

what do you naturals do during your waking life? what i mean is, do you just naturally pay attention to your surroundings? or do go about your day in a daze like most people?

thanks that was helpful. so do you pay close attention to your surroundings at least once a day as you suggested? that was especially helpful, what you said about paying attention to peoples expressions.

Yep. Usually I just do it naturally because I'm an artist and facinated by colors, shadows, lines, etc. Other times I do it because it calms me down, stress relief, you know? I find paying close attention to people's faces is helpful because in my dreams if I look closely at DCs they start doing goofy stuff or something weird.

      thanks again seeker

i had a lucid dream after reading this, and i find paying attention to my peripheral vision is helpful too. i also examined shadows and stuff in that dream, and it was fascinating to see the realism, especially with multiple light sources creating double shadows and such.

      Forgotten Dream:

Yeah, I don't know exactly how it came to be that I suddenly started having Lucid Dreams every night, but I can tell you that I was studying Zen Philosophy and Taoism pretty heavily during that time period, as well as visiting Zen monks and engaging in coversation with them. I know that mentioning Zen brings forth all kinds of responses and junk, but basically what the philosophy has taught me is to pay attention to my surroundings, and because of that I think I began to have these experiences in my sleep.

All in all, I questioned whether or not I was awake in my waking life for a while, as an exercise to induce Lucid Dreaming by habit of reality checking. This isn't difficult, but it isn't to be taken lightly either; It's easy to just tell yourself "okay, I'm checking to see if I'm awake now, yep I'm awake, duh, hope to have a Lucid Dream tonight". But in order for this to work you really have to question reality, because not only will the habit carry over into your dreams but the attitude will as well. And if you just accept that you're awake without really bothering to examine it in detail to yourself - putting aside a moment of your time to dedicate to it until you're absolutely sure, as silly as it seems - then you'll accept that everything you are experiencing in your dream state is normal too, and no lucidity will come of it.

So question your reality throughout the day, make an effort, make a habit.

Thanks Daniel. i know exactly what you're talking about. i count the number of fingers i have as a reality check, and it doesn't work for me, because i have the same number of fingers as in waking life lol, i know it's because it's what i expect to see. also that's why it wouldn't hurt to do multiple reality checks, just to be positive. the mind set is far more important than the action of doing a reality check i believe. do you still have lucid dreams often by the way? i'm fascinated by naturals and people that lucid dream often
