But this would be easier to achieve while Lucid, so if you just want a vivid dream, then you could try that apple juice thing. For lucid dreams, try the hand-rubbing technique that Walms and slayer mentioned, or spinning. For regular dreams, you could work on your dream recall to remember your dreams more vividly. As for the dream itself being vivid, I'm not sure.

maybe placebo would work... aplle juice is the way to go man.. trust me, it works great.. I am on a medicine that stops rem sleep, so I drink alot of apple juice.. so I only have one rem cycle a night, and I allways remeber it.. yeah one rem cycle sucks..
