I know, this is a duplicate post, but there are too many threads to search. How do you think straight in lucids? Once my goals are accomplished, I can't think go doing crazy things. Is it something that comes with practice? |

Absolutely. As with dream control, dream consciousness starts (at least for me it did) as a jumbled mess. The spinning technique has helped me quite a bit though, if you've not heard of it, try a search on these forums, but its been so long since I've been here that I don't remember if it was a post or a guide. Anyways, spinning in my dream often brought focus, not only to the area surrounding me, but also to my thought process. |

So what people say is that as you become aware of the possibility of LDs and as the dream recall increases so does possible consciousness in dreams grow, thus allowing us to control it? |

I look at it like this: As I began to lucid dream a little more, I became less and less worked up about it each time... I mean, my first LD was AMAZING, and really exciting, but it was kind of like a loud crazy party...I couldn't concentrate and it was hard to do anything productive. Then, as I had a few more LDs, I began to calm down about it..as a consequence, I felt a lot more clear headed in my dreams. |

Yeah it takes time. At first I was so excited I couldn't remember what I had wanted to do. But now I feel like I think more like I do in real life. I also try to have a plan of what I want to do when I go to bed so I (hopefully) won't waste a LD trying to decide what to do. |
