      The motivational thread.

You know, I think we really need a motivational thread. One where we encourage each other to lucid dream, post how we plan on becoming lucid (or just remembering our dreams), and share lucid experiences. Like a chat, but for discussion of lucidity and attaining lucidity only. Say what's on your mind, your roadblocks, and so on, and we'll all help. Community effort. Random chat is nice sometimes, but we get enough off topic stuff on Dream Views already, so I respectfully ask that posts here will be in one way or another about lucidity.

So lets get to it. To start it off, what I want to say is that it's funny that I don't remember my dreams or lucid dream much anymore. I most certainly can do both. At first, when motivated, I could average three dreams a night and at least two lucid dreams a week. I'm lucky to record two dreams a week nowadays. I believe I just think about that failure too much now.

I hope this sort of kind of works!

Well, If you keep on truckin', you'll be back up there. Try to make dreaming a regular part of life: read books or articles about it, do reality checks, think about things you want to do while lucid, etc. Once you bring it into your waking life, I think it should follow you into your dreams.

Mostly whilst attempting a WILD, the slightest thought of re-checking a guide or such, or perhaps to even have the slightest thought that I'm doing it wrong, will significantly prevent myself from completing a WILD - I have never completed one fully, yet. Negative thoughts, even at the highest minimum will result in my brain waking myself up. I'll go through with the sleeping paralysis, just as long as the end result is a lucid dream - I'm still unsure as to how to effectively induce a lucid dream. Reality checks haven't worked for me - I need a way to result in myself thinking more rationaly within a dream; I've been trying two supplments and have achieved significant success - one short vivid DILD (Very vivid, it was as vivid to reality), but haven't achieved anything since.

Hehe, well I do wish you lots of luck. I view this whole website as a motivational place. We all do encourage each other in individual posts and celebrate our achievement. There should be no one single place to give encouragement, it should be everywhere we posts

welll you see, you have progressed further than many!!! you remember your dreams at least one... and thats great! Some surrender to darkness, i used to but now every nights an adventure... i had my first LD near the end of my 18th year in Life.... and that one was an accident, it was hilarious really.... i realized i was dreaming whilst on a james bond/ Indiana Jones kind of mission and i realied i was dreaming.... and then i thought of my body, just lightly.... and i woke up.... i wanted to kick myself.... because that was the most lucid one so far.....!

I somehow always think of WILD when I wake up and as such forget my dreams >.<
I haven't recalled a dream in 3 days, before that they always were epic novels I loved

      Stop trying to breathe.
You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
