Lucid dreaming occurs when you realize you are dreaming. Food generally cannot tell you that you are dreaming, although B12 is known to enhance the vividness of a dream. The B12 that is in bananas and cheese is in much too small a quantity to increase vividness. You would need a vitamin supplement to have an effect. |

I also agree with abra, I tell you from experience that there is no shortcut to lucid dreaming. |

These things are believed to increase the general vividness of the dream, not as an on/off switch for lucid dreaming. Try to think of these things as you would something like the NovaDreamer, which is a ridiculously expensive device that people think will give them lucid dreams with the switch of a button. It is not so simple, and without putting in the slightest effort will not award you anything except an empty wallet. |
