I think you'll have difficulty finding those stats, since it's obviously not going to be officially collected. Any estimate is likely to be a wild stab in the dark or based upon a small sample size that is probably interested in dreams to begin with.

Theres 20 000 members on this site, and this is the biggest lucid dreaming forum on the net afaik. So let's say theres a few other big lucid forums of around 5 000 members, that makes an estimated 50 000 people who actively lucid dream.

      50 0000 / 6.7 billion = 0,0007 % of the world population is a lucid dreamer. A very small number indeed

I don't think that anyone does, at least I've never heard of it. Any surveys I have seen have been relatively biased, so not really accurate enough to be permissible.

That sort of means we're unique

When I have a conversation with someone that seems interrested in Dreams I ask "Do you know what LD is" I only say the initials so that only someone that does it could know (since the only people you can talk about it are on forums and that it is such a great experience you HAVE to share, someone that LD is more likely to go on a forum and know the initials or have an idea of what they mean. Everyone said no... SO yeah, I guess we're pretty lonely. The way I found about this was not by being told but by looking for ways so I can remember my Dreams more 'cause we sleep 1 third of our lives so I thought "Why not remember what I did during that time".

Some people think they know so much about dreaming but they don't, its not even funny!

Someone at my school had a dream that someone had put Ecstasy (a drug) in all the food so everyone was high so then I asked "How'd it feel" and then they all looked at me like if I was dumb and they said "You can't feel anything in dreams, its just like you were watching a movie, a blurry one!"

I was about to reply but I didn't want to sound even stupider so I just shut uped...

Oh, and all these dreams conversation that happen at my school, is 'cause of me so don't think there the one starting the conversations about dream... They really think I'm crazy for even thinking about dreams so much lol, I don't care though, I have you guys~

I think you're probably missing out on a lot of people. Try asking "Have you ever had a dream where you knew that you were dreaming?". That's like asking someone from Tibet if they know what sex is. They may not know the name a certain group of people (English-speaking) have given it, but I guarantee you they know all about it. Do you know what puwanzee is? No, no one does, because I just made that word up. But it means eating. I think the majority of the organisms on this planet are familiar with the notion of eating, though. By relying on the fact that they'll know what "L-Ding" is, you're reducing your sample size to lucid dreamers who have access to the internet and are familiar with lucid dreaming websites. You're probably missing out on most of the normals who don't even realize that what they do is unusual, and you're definitely missing out on the people who have had a couple but have no idea what it is or what it's called or that it's something that others strive for. Of course you haven't had anyone say yes yet!

Everyone I have tested it on yet do have internet... Further more, I'm not looking for people that do it unvoluntearly but people that are interested in it and do it voluntearly, meaning that they probably go on a forum... Also as I've said, they don't think dream procure any feelings.

But... are you really assuming that the only people you can talk to about it are those people? The best way to do it, I've found, is to say "Have you ever had a dream where you knew you were dreaming?" Sure, some people may know. Some may be naturals, and some many not care or will say "I never remember my dreams." But, usually a person will get excited and tell you all about a weird dream they've had... at which point you can tell them "Oh, they're called lucid dreams. Yea, I had one the other night! It was weird because I looked at my hands, and I had way too many fingers! That's how I knew." "Whoa, really?" "Yea, usually if you look at your hands in your dreams they'll look weird, so you just have to keep looking at them during the day, then it will happen in your dreams!"

I've introduced quite a few people to the notion of lucid dreaming this way, and had about two skeptics out of about ten people. The rest of them were interested and wanted to talk about it, although only a couple showed enough interest that they were willing to really really get into it and want to learn over time. And we talk about lucid dreaming all the time now.

Hey, if you're expecting people to be open minded about lucid dreaming, you should be more open minded about who may be willing to talk to you about lucid dreaming and who is worth talking to. Trust me, you'll be pleasantly surprised!! But, if you really want to only talk to people who are currently actively learning about it... I dunno. Get a lucid dreaming t-shirt? Besides, if you don't drop hints, someone might be afraid to say back to you "LD- you mean lucid dreaming?"

Yea, some people don't feel in dreams. It's almost as rare as taste in my experience. Some people just have hazy dreams though. But in ~6 dreams per night, you may feel or taste in one in a year- and the chances of the average person remembering it are pretty slim. You can't really expect the majority of them to believe you, if they think it's that rare. Dream recall and vividness are often times cultivated, and the average person doesn't have them the way that we do even without lucidity.

I mean, these people meant that it was impossible to use your senses in a dream other than sight.

      Also, I'm sorry if I sounded ....
I plan into telling people more specificly but for now I'm keeping it a secret that I do that stuff 'cause no one has yet reacted positivly to that and if I just go and tell everyone it may be really bad for me so i'll just tell people I know I can trusth but the other people I just keepit to teh world LD
