I'm not sure what it means--should I move this to the Dream Interpretation forum? The good news is, I can guess that the man represents a problem that you do know how to face when the time comes. The maze components might be a problem (or situation) that you can't see past (maybe you are preoccupied with this situation, and can't see yourself in a different one). Oddly, you didn't exercise much control over the situation, you only tried to run away. This could mean that "running away from the situation won't work," or that "there is a different solution to your problem."

In the end, it could have been just a random dream. Next time you find yourself in that dream, look behind you--there is a door to the outside.
