      Question.

Is there any real way to know whether I had a real lucid dream, or a faux one? Last night I suddenly realized I was dreaming, plugged my nose and could breathe fine (my RC of choice), and "realized" I was dreaming. I made myself a Blizzard and was disappointed that it didn't taste as they usually do in real life. I could still feel the textures though. After that the dream took control again (if I ever had any control in the first place) and I went on to do other various things. Sometimes I feel like I do so many RCs that they just become a part of the dream, can that happen?

Yeah. I know what you mean. I've definitely had 'fake lucids' before. I don't know any solution. :/ I've thought about doing a reality check, one that you don't usually use. But if it's actually a normal dream, it's not like you had any control anyway.

There should be more thought between the reality check, the realization, and... Making yourself a blizzard. This is where you stabilize the dream, and wake up your mind. Ask, "What did I have for dinner last night? What is 17 plus 32? What are my dream goals?"
Try to give commentary to yourself, as you do things, and tie it back to knowing tht you are dreaming.

"This blizzard didn't taste as good as real life, I wonder why?"

I'll definitely try to do that next time. I think I had maybe a few seconds of lucidity, but I didn't really do enough to preserve it.
