I put quite a lot of thought into this and it would be quite interesting to see what you all think. I personally am not an advanced lucid dreamer, but if any of you are you should try this out.
As you know, your dreams consist of only things you know or imagine. You could start up a conversation with a DC as a form of information leech, to unlock lost memories or ask your mind and body things which it will respond neutrally. Theoretically, you could remember things you forget in your conscious state. At the same time, your creative mind could fill in the gaps of what you remember and know with random data and you might not know the difference. However I believe it is an interesting thing to explore, and possibly understand how your mind works and thinks. You could strike up philosophical conversations with yourself and you might get amazing ideas.
Another thing which I was just thinking about is exploring what your mind thinks and does when you come to an obstacle with something in real life. For example, if you have seen the film 'Tomb Raider 2', you could recreate the 'Cradle of Life' and open 'Pandora's Box' yourself, and see what happens, without forcing your own outcome, and let your mind create it without influence. I am sure you could learn a lot from yourself with these activities during LDs. What do you all think?
EDIT: I very clearly understand that if you can imagine it you can do what you want, I would have to be quite the idiot not to comprehend this. However if this is the response you have to my post you have not understood it. I am discussing the possibility of obtaining true facts from your mind whilst your body is asleep and you are at another state of consciousness.
