you mean you woke up? that happens... a lot to me |

I am new to the lucid dream experience. I have had a couple of instances when I recgonized I was dreaming and tried to go lucid but got kicked out (for lack of better words). I am just wondering what is going on and how to, when you know you are dreaming, stay lucid? |

TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]
10-15min LD [ X] Article: A day in the life of an LD-er
the "Mind V.S. Body" Induction technique
Everyman 2 LD's/ sleep schedule progress
That never happened to me. |

I just started a thread asking about the same problem. If you figure it out pass on a hint would ya? |

This is a very common occurrence. This is typically affiliated with getting too excited (I'm guilty of this! |

its just exitment, most people get it on their first LD. you just need to stay clam, just accept the fact that you are lucid, tell your self that you are lucid, but not like "WOOOOOHOOOOO!!! IM LUCID!!" because that wont end well. |

Reality Check! (new)| |Why you're not getting LUCID| |Why NOT to be Scared of SP
excitement usually is the problem. but if you find yourself calm and collected before you "get kicked out" then it is probably a stability problem. always make sure you do a reality check as soon as you have te feeling that you are dreaming. then when you know you are dreaming without any reasonable doubt you can start working on your senses. like touching and feeling etc. i always rub my hands. spinning doesnt seem to work for me, especially in my beginning stages of lucid dreaming. dont jump ahead of your self and take it one step at a time. good luck! |

It is not the excitment. It is natural. I like to see dreams as the matrix. The brain being the narrator. When you are not aware that you are dreaming, you are bound to the rules in the world in which you think you exist. Upon realizing that it was a mere dream, you natrually want to wake up. Some part of you might want to continue on in the dreamworld. But a subconsious part of you and your brain, wants to go back to reality. Ofcourse your brain might think that it is not really time to wake up, and then force a dream of awakining upon you, but that is another matter. |

Take control of your dream. |
