      Realizing your dream signs

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forums and Lucid dreaming so expect this to be a newbie question.
Ive read about LDs from the home page on the site and I'm really determined to have LDs regularly! Nothing excites me more than having the freedom to do whatever i want lol. But aside from my wishes, Ive been keeping a dream journal and have a little over a week worth of dreams written down. Now ive read about finding dream signs but there's something I'm not understanding. When your dream sign shows up in your dream, how will you know thats your dream sign? In my weeks of dreams Ive written down Ive found that when i know I'm dreaming I'm always in a classroom. Ive been in a classroom in my dreams six nights in a row now and before my 4th night i told myself if I'm in a classroom then ill know I'm dreaming. Unfortunately every time I'm in that situation I seem to not realize it.
Is there anything that could help me realize my dream signs more? Do i need to literally tell myself "If I'm in a classroom then I'm dreaming" every minute so i remember?

      Thank you.

hi Forever Fit! for it to be a true dreamsign it must be impossible in real life, one of my dreamsigns is flying. However yes, I also have many other semi-dreamsigns, so to speak, like locations, activities, etc that, while possible actually occur more often in my dreams- during these it's always important to be more aware, to do more reality checks and generally be on your toes.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus

I don't think that's entirely true. My two dreamsigns are my old Highschool, and a particular girl (for whatever reason). When I was in Highschool, I made sure to do a LOT of reality checks.....I also did reality checks whenever I saw that particular girl.

First of all, welcome to the forums Forever Fit.
Recognizing that you're in a dream take times.
Some people are able to tell they're in a Dream immediatly.

While other takes long to process their enviroment.

Not everyone has a Dreamsign. Try doing reality checks
frequently and you'll have a habit of doing it in your dream

A dream sign doesn't have to be impossible, it just has to be something that comes up in your dream a lot. Being in a classroom is a good example. Just look through your dream journal and see if you notice any situations or objects, etc. popping up more than once. Then, whenever you see these things in real life, do a reality check.
