Thread: A game you MUST play to train your lucid skills.

Hey all, so a couple days ago I rented out a game called 'Prototype' for Xbox 360. I'll post a little video from youtube for those who haven't heard of it. Basically a really cool free game where you can fly and do a bunch of parkour tricks.

Anyway, I was napping before, after coming home from work and I had such a great semi-lucid dream. Forever in the past I have not been able to get a steady speed going when I fly in my lucid dreams, but this time was totally different. I had transformed my lucid self into a superhero! I could teleport, glide really fast, and boost myself forward in the air. It was so much absolute fun!

My first few LDs I just messed around too.
I think its good to get a good feel of the dream world before you start anything major.

I just like to mess about with the DCs, they seem so much fun sometimes.
Once a large group of DCs was running around outside playing tag so I decided to join in. The guy I was chasing was running really fast. So I jumped into mid air and perched myself on his back. He was trying to shake me off but I wouldn't let go. Anyway he ended up giving me a piggy back around the dream world

The game itself in an inspiration for lucid dreaming. Not training.

HOLY S**T, I have GOT to get that game!!!! Imagine doing that in a lucid like Dex, that would be sweet.

I have seen the trailers and gameplay for this game. Looks like a perfect lucid dreaming scenario to really let loose your control over the environment. I would have a blast doing this in the lucid world. Maybe I should get this game and play it alot so it will be second nature when I go into the dreamworld just like a Kamehameha would be if i got lucid haha

I am convinced this is what happened to me in my nap. I was only semi-lucid though. I remember thinking to myself 'hey normally in a dream I can't fly this well'. The game was so much fun I was almost playing non stop for two days over the weekend. I think I kind of trained myself to fly hehe.

Literally the night after I saw my friend playing this game, I had a non lucid dream where I was sneaking around a church, consuming people while looking for something.

It was awesome. O_O

Oh cool game, would give some small ideas, to bad I can't buy it <.<

this brings a good question about the "consuming" part of Prototype....what if you were to create a DC that like lets say...for instance...knew how to solve a certain problem you were having in your waking life, like being scared to talk in front of a group of people. and then you create a scenario where your DC is talking to a group of people all charismatic and entertaining, then you sneak up and consume them and gain their charisma and all, then when you were to wake up, maybe it would carry over in your subconscious mind and you would be all charismatic in your speeches

...interesting theory lol
