Binaural beats making me less aware?

I've been trying to listen to
      a) SHARM's meditation entrainment (theta level)
      b) The SubliminalLucid3.0 track
      and
      c) I-Doser's Lucid Dream track

However, I've found that I'm having my first dreams on memory in which I have no idea I'm dreaming and have no control. Has this happened to other people? Is this just a learning curve?

This is the 3rd night I've listened to at least one of those tracks. On the first night, I think I just did I-Doser while falling asleep, so I may not have heard all of it. On the second night, I listened to the whole thing, and got the first dream described in my dream journal (in which I did realize I was dreaming and had some superpowers, but didn't feel lucid or conscious in any way). The third night, I listened to all three (in the background), but cut off the I-Doser track halfway through (it was 7:00 AM, so I was too tired to finish the track), and had a completely oblivious dream again (the second one in my dream journal)

Now, the two nights where I didn't complete a track (while conscious) were the two nights I had unaware dreams. I'm not saying it's a pattern, but it's possible. Has anybody else had this experience?

I read something in past about those binaural beats that made me decide that their only merit is autosuggestion. Seemingly the frequencies that are supposed to affect you are situated in ranges that the human ear cannot really hear. No idea what those binaural sounds are, probably they lie that a computer program can play sounds at those frequencies and it's playing them in a different way that makes them inefficient. So drawing a connection between them and how aware you were is probably futile.

As for your situation, I'd say that you were mentally blocking yourself from success. That happens sometimes. You know like sometimes you think "I'll have a LD tonight", it may work or not. If you're overexcited and have a fear of failing then you can block yourself from LDing. I think that the same thing happened to you, you were afraid that the beats won't work and that's what happened. "Afraid" is probably too strong a word, but I mean it in a weak sense, like "unconsciously afraid" or simply "worried".

First of all, you haven't really researched binaural beats. What they do is create a dissonance between two frequencies that makes your brain infer another frequency (the example I heard, although probably dumbed-down, is that if one ear gets 300 hz and the other 315 hz, your brain interprets it as 15 hz.. it's not really a hugely controversial topic).

I would've thought that too, but I'm often trying to have an LD, with or without beats. My current theory is that when I interrupt a beat, it seems to have a negative effect (because I've tried 3 nights, two of which had completely oblivious dreams, and on both of those nights, the beat was interrupted). I don't really have enough data to establish a pattern, but I realized I don't really need beats anyway; I've been controlling my dreams for years without help, so I can probably get lucid without help too.

Binaural Beats work by Entrainment. As stated there are two frequencies (ex. 307HzLeft and 300HzRight) the brain auto-subtracts the difference and you are left with 7hz (in the middle). Now the problem with Binaural Beats is say you just get back from a busy day at work, your dominant brain frequency could be in the High Alpha State (~14Hz) but if the Binaural Audio you listen to is in the Theta Range (5 - 8Hz) then it will take longer to Entrain the Brain. There's also the matter of the audible frequency. I prefer the lower frequencies like 120Hz~135Hz or the extremely high audible frequencies like 3500Hz, so that can affect your experience as well.
