      WILD'ing with head phones

I've never been a big enthusiast of attempting to WILD with head phones and music playing but last night I tried it for the halibut. I was lying in bed (in a pretty messed up mood) listening to Corynorinus and Lasirius from the batman begins soundtrack (songs below)

...until I started getting sleepy. My music had its moments though where it would peak and wake you up at certain points in the song, so by now my mind was in the perfect state to attempt a WILD.

I took them off and began mentally rehearsing my affirmations as I kept my body still. Within a matter of seconds, my body started becoming very heavy and my heartbeat escalated. Since the transition is something I'm used to by now, I waited until the process had finished, no fear or excitement...just...patience. After about a minute, my bedroom door swung open and I raised up my dream torso (thinking it was my physical torso) from my bed to see why that was (I was the only one home). I then got up and walked out my living room window and flew high in the air. Then I descended into a swimming pool where a male and female DC were enjoying each others time. I went underwater to remind myself of how it felt to breathe underwater...it's an exhilarating feeling and I recommend every LD'er try it. Great LD.

So I stand corrected, though I've never recommended anyone attempt a WILD with headphones before, I suppose it really can't hurt and I suggest attempting with the headphones and without the headphones to see which better suits you.

Were the headphones uncomfortable? That sounds really cool, maybe I'll try it.

If you want some comfortable headphones, try Sennheiser HD650's. They are pricey but but well worth every penny!

So Jeff, you fell asleep while listening to it, then woke up and induced the WILD??

Or were you aware of the music the entire time??... I noticed sometimes when I listen to music at night I'll fall asleep and wake up 10 minutes later thinking, "Fuck, I fell asleep"... Now I see that might be a good chance to WILD>?

Fun WILD, Jeff I always have a hard time falling asleep with headphones. I've never even been able to use binaural beats to meditate. The sound waves pounding on my head give me a headache.

Cool, I should really try this. I usually dont have trouble using earphones at night. DOes it make a difference if you use headphones/versus earphones?

Jeff, this is off topic, but it's driving me nuts. What anime is in your signature?

I am yet to try this. I have always wondered if the music that is playing will effect anything in the dream.

I need to fish out my star wars soundtrack.

Just thought I should revive this thread. It's pretty neat. Too bad he didn't answer any questions.
