Question How can I get myself to be lucid?

I've only tried a couple nights so far, but I've had no luck. I've remembered my dreams, - some parts really well, other parts vaguely - and I've been waking up to an alarm clock which is helping me remember my dreams - but I haven't been lucid in awhile, and I haven't been lucid consistently for a long time. I'm 18, and it feels like it has almost been forever since I've had a lucid dream.

Read one of the countless threads on tips for how to become lucid, read a tutorial, or read a book. Keep a dream journal, build up your recall and do regular reality checks.

Maybe tackle if from a different direction this time?

When I am having a dry spell I often pretend its the first time I am trying to lucid dream. The exciting feeling in your chest when you first have a lucid dream helps me have more. If you get me

This is what we all want to know...
Try ever different method until one works, that's what I'm doing. So far WILD is a no-go, but DEILD worked very nicely.
