The rem cycle starts about 5 hours after you fall asleep. |

I heard that some time in the afternoon, you will have an REM cycle. Is this true? And, assuming I go get about 8-9 hours of sleep starting at the 10:30ish mark, could I maybe get a rough estimate as to when this afternoon REM cycle would be? Thanks, much appreciated. |

The REM cycle varies from person to person. it only takes me 2 hours to hit REM, other it can take like 6. It is easy to hit REM during naps. The prior stages go by faster and sometimes they aren't present at all. I suggest napping any time, up to 6 hours after waking. After that I find it more difficult to hit SP and WILD. Remember, you can also WILD rather easily as soon as you wake in the morning. Good Luck! |
