evil DCs

i recently had a WILD, but two evil DCs appeared and we had a hugeb attle.. it was impossible 2 kill them, and they ended up killin me causing me to wake up.. Anybody have any ideas on how 2 kill evil DCs?????

ive tried throwing fireballs and ive even tried a 10-in-1 fireball... none worked

Well, you must remember that how powerful something may be in real life, in a dream, that counts for nothing unless that is what you expect of it.

i.e. you said "i even threw a 10 in 1 fireball and it never worked", well, just try and keep out of your mind how powerful things would be in real life.

If you throw a stone at one of these DCs expecting it to cause the DCs to explode into a million pieces, that is what will happen. If you tap one of these DCs with your pinky expecting it to cause them to fall to the ground immediately, that is exactly what will happen.

So basically, the outcome of a lucid dream is only what you expect to happen.

Remember it is your dream, in your mind, you are the only thing with power in a lucid dream.

You must EXPECT it to happen. Expect the fireball to incinerate them. Expect them to die or explode or go up in a puff of smoke. If you're not 100% sure it will happen, it won't.

I'd like to offer another POV.

While in dreams, dream control often counts on you to follow through with confidence, not all lucid dreams are equal. Some dreams are very difficult to control. I can say that at times I have tried to do something in a dream, like flying for example, which I've done hundreds of times before in my lucids, so I can tell you that it was with 100% confidence. And I was shocked when it did not work. So while there are good general rules for dream control such as having confidence, you really cannot put dreams and our minds into a simplistic set of rules.

When you are lucid and a dream does not allow you to destroy certain adversarial DCs, take a step back and try to converse with the DCs. Ask them what they are there to tell you. Ask them what this dream means. Nightmares often happen because your subconscious wants your attention--well now, it HAS your attention. So instead of trying to destroy the nightmare, try to understand it instead.
