I get this stuff too, but I don't think we are the only ones. It would be logic for dreams to not abide by the laws of reality. Your mind just simply doesn't care about the distance and stuff, it focuses only on the main objectives of your dream. |

I think that this happens to everyone to some degree or another. When I first started to LD, I used this as a sort of "variant mode" of transportation (because my teleportation skills were...well...crap). |

no. unfortunately this 'skipping' happens when we don't pay attention to mundane details like traversing distances. you can't pay attention to not paying attention. it's done by the brain to save energy (or indeed just cause the brain is lazy |
