      Intense Scents In The Dreamworld

A couple nights ago, I was dreaming that I was enrolled at a college, and I was sitting there in class. Someone had perfume on and it was strong, and amazingly realistic. There's only been one other time that I've ever experienced that in a dream before, and that was during an incredible string of lucid dreams.

Has anyone else noticed strong perfume or anything similar in a dream? I wonder how common it is.

Actually I have never smelt anything in a dream. Or I just never took any attention to it. Nor have I tried to smell anything in a LD,

Interesting, I don't ever remember any scents in any of my dreams before. Maybe in a LD one time I should try smelling something (maybe food), then eating it. Though I have eaten in my dreams before. I have felt cold before in a dream though.

A lot of the time (for me anyway), outhouses DO smell like perfume. They have air fresheners, and smell good, as sick as it sounds, though it is still gross and stuffy.

Once, in an outhouse (one with multiple stalls), there was a mouse in there! He was cute, but it was still gross and creepy.

      Yeah...this wasn't any sweet-smelling toilet, that's for sure.

I've become lucid a time or two from a scent. Strong, realistic or enhanced smells are fairly common for me, but it's only every so often that it stands out enough for me to really take note of it. Scent is supposed to be one of the strongest senses tied to memory, though.

However I personally find that most of the time I take scents for granted unless it's really out of place or unusually strong and/or strange. This goes for real life as well as dreams. If you pay more attention to smells in waking life, you'll notice them more in dreams. Try it and see!

Interesting, Man of Steel. I'll try paying more attention to scents in real life.
