Oh yeah! I had a conversation in Japanese before and I don't even know much japanese (I was probably speaking a bunch of nonsense). The DCs understood exactly what I was talking about and they talked back to me in Japanese. English subtitles were running across my mind as we talked, but I didn't even need them, lol. The mind can do some phenomenal things during lucidity. |

LD and native language
Hi, as i only had some LDs at a younger age, i have a question i can't answer as im only a week into learning to LD again.
Can you have a conversation in LD in english even though thats not your native language?
I was thinking about this when i read the thread about finding your dreamguide. Lets just say i have an LD and suspect someone to be my dreamguide, could i use the word "dreamguide" to that DC or do i have to translate that?
My guess is, if you know what it means, "they" know it
Some things just sounds so better in english

slightly unrelated but I was able to sing in an opera-esque voice while lucid even though I sound nowhere near like that in RL, guess the same thing can be done with accents- everything is possible!
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus
TOTAL LD's (almost all DILD/MILD) =160!!
new goals: have more LD's than Shift[X]

I wonder if speech is required at all in a LD.

I speak all the languages I know in dreams. There are DC that speak only English or something else
multi-linguality is fun

I've spoken Russian in non-lucids before, and I was terrible.
