With DEILD, do you remember the earlier lucids just as well as the ones just before you woke up?

Yes, I usually have no problem remembering my first dream. As soon as I wake up, I write the events from my dreams in reverse order. This tends to help remember everything. Think of the last event, and then think, "What was I doing right before that? Well, what was I doing before that...and that...and so on." The more DEILDs you chain, the harder it will be to remember the early dreams. If I have a nice, long, enjoyable lucid, I won't DEILD more than once, so I won't forget any of my first dream. If the lucid was short and uneventful, I'll DEILD to the point I forget it, but I don't mind forgetting a crappy dream. One or two chains shouldn't hurt your recall as long as you write the dream down as soon as you wake up. I have remembered up to 4 chains before.
