Know I'm dreaming, but can't control

Before i go into it, here's a little background information -

Had 3 dreams, don't remember the first one, second one i was playing super mario sunshine, 3rd was lucid.

After the second dream, I woke up in sleep paralysis. Knowing what it was, i stayed cool and closed my eyes to try to WILD. I pictured a lush green dreamscape...wasn't lush, but hey, it was my second lucid dream! Then farmers ran out a house In front of me and passed by me, but then i realized that i couldn't control my body in my lucid dream! It was as if I was watching from 3rd person, but had a view from 1st person.

I panicked and thought "since I can't control myself, this is going to turn into a nightmare" so i get out of the dream (d'oh!) and wake up into sleep paralysis! I wiggle my toes with all my heart, ane eventually break from SP.

Anybody know what it's called and why it happened to me, when you know you're dreaming, create yourself a little dreamworld, but aren't in control of the body in the dream?

You were definitely lucid, there's no question about it.
But, lucidity and dream control are totally different things. Think about it - you don't have to know you're dreaming to control fire or breathe underwater, but you don't necessarily always have control when you're lucid. Definitely try to avoid getting panicky because your expectations are powerful in a dream - you think something will happen, and it will. I'd just call it having poor dream control. It can be either the fault of the dream (some dreams you just can't control because that's the way they are), or because you became too nervous.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Yeah I guess all you can do is remain calm. I've heard people say they have been lucid in 3rd person pov. Maybe you can just will yourself and believe that you can be in first person pov. Actually I had a lucid in third person, but just stayed like that the whole time. I didn't really care at the time. Just cared that I was lucid.
Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around.
