      Partial Lucidity?

so lately i've been having these dreams which i wouldn't call lucid and i wouldn't call non-lucid either. basically i'm aware of the fact that i can do things i would only be able to do in dreams, like telekinesis, teleportation, flying, etc, but the fact that i'm dreaming never actually crosses my mind. i don't think that i'm awake though, its just that i never question it, like the fact that i can use all these dream powers is just taken for granted.

so as a result of this, i treat the plot of the dream as if it's real while continuing to use my dream powers to interact with it. like, "yep, just a normal day like any other, teleport around a bit, use some telekinesis, nothing out of the ordinary here" LOL. the idea is that if i was fully lucid, i'd realize the plot of the dream wasn't real, and if i was non-lucid, i wouldn't think i could use dream powers. but instead i'm somewhere in between. anyone else experience something like this?

In my experiances, I'd say your lucid on an observational level. The 2 LD's I've had when I was younger, I was aware I was dreaming, but couldn't control anything except that I knew if I kept my eyes closed I could still dream. So yes, you were fully lucid, whether you could control your dream or not

At least, that is what I think

I'd still call it lucid. I've done the same as you so many times, where, I'm in a dream plot, and I'll change some things around. Realise that I'll need to use a certain ability and it activates. Or if I encounter something unusual, I'll actually stop the dream, weigh out some possible outcomes of said oddity, and I'll change things if I don't like where it'll head.

Like in my dream last night, I had to cross a bridge of white metal bars, but the bars crossed in such a way that left huge gaps of nothing there to walk on... I stopped and considered this bridge. What will happen if I walk over it? Will my dream go in a direction I don't care to watch? So instead, I decided that there was probably some kind of invisible flooring that would stop me from falling through the bars, and I crossed the bridge.

I didn't really become actually lucid enough to stop the dream, realise I'm dreaming, and go exploring... but I did have enough knowledge that I was dreaming and conjured up an invisible floor to cross so I could continue with my dream plot.

It's still possible to have powers if you arn't lucid, havn't you ever had powers or been flying somehow and ou wern't lucid. But if not that there is such thing as partial lucidity

Maybe your subconscious realized you are dreaming. I wouldn't call partial lucid though, but I think its a signal that you are going to have your first lucid dream.
