does being a heavy sleeper affect your chances of LD

I am an extremely heavy sleeper, an atomic bomb couldn't wake me! and i think for some reason because of that it is affecting my LD's. I have had 3 dreams, all of which i realised was a dream and said to myself "this is a dream, but on one occasional, i fainted then woke up, probably got too excited, then the next 2 occasions, the dream just continued and i didnt become lucid. just curious if anyone else has experienced not becoming lucid when realising you're in a dream.

      many thanks

p.s. i put this in the lucid experiences forum by accident first, apologies for double thread.

Not necessarily. As long as your getting enough sleep each night (at least 7 hours), you shouldn't have any problems. You still have your REM periods, and the fact you're a heavy sleeper shouldn't interfere in your dreams.

Well you will have more dreams because you sleep more but there is no extra chance they will be lucid

I'm a heavy sleeper and I've been having as many LDs as the next guy. I don't think there's a difference.

I do have trouble remembering my dreams unless I wake up and write them down right after my dream cycle, but that might just be me.
