They have moderator powers in the on-topic section, but not in the off-topic section. Above that, they're supposed to answer questions and are expected to be knowledgeable about lucid dreaming.
Edit: Dream Guides are also supposed to be figures that come to you in your dreams and help you with stuff. I don't really know much about them, though.

dream guide is suppost to be your subconcious, it can take many forms anything u can imagine and it is basically ure conscious mind communicating with ure subconscious mind, where you can gain accsess to the main power of your brain and gather answers on any questions u might have.

I know what you mean. I have met my DG twice, now. Each time I come into his presence.. I feel my consciousness shift and I wake up.. It is as though his very presence causes me to loose hold of the dream state. Talk about frustrating.

I dont have dream guides. I guess people term them differently. I acknowledge God in my dreams, I dont know about other folks. I know He sends His angels to show us things. I guess in a sense that is what one would consider to be a dream gudie. Be careful as there are Good and Evil spirits out there and they will show up and show you things that may not be from God. In my experinece when the Lord shows me things the Angel or Messanger seems to take a silent role and just takes me on a tour persay and shows me things. It seems they sometimes are the silent partner. They do talk and tell you things if you ask sometimes. If they are from God they will take all of thier orders from him on what to say to you.

it helps to meditate and open your third eye wider, to reach inside of yourself and bond with your subconscouse so you're more whole and have a better link to it. That may help manifest your Subcon. in your dreams... i know mine didn't show up untill i started my journey, and it's not ALWAYS there, but when he is i'm usually lost in something or am losing control in my Lucid's and a conversation with it helps to cement me back in the dream
