      Does this counteract dream destabilization?

I want to fly one of those 'banshees' from Avatar, or ride a personal jet or something, really fast through the air and feel the wind, etcetera. I have one question, though...

I know that flying too fast will blur the dream and therefore destabilize it. However, since you're on or in an object that you maintain clarity of, will this counteract what I said before it? In other words, would blurred/destabilized surroundings affect your dream even though there's a clear vehicle that you're driving, and sometimes looking at?
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I'd say this would have to do with how well grounded you are in the dream, and how well you stay aware of your surroundings. For example, you are surfing the Dreamview forums, how aware of your surroundings are you? It doesn't matter, however when you are lucid dreaming, and YOUR mind is what is keeping everything running, focusing on something in particular will de-stabilize the rest of the dream to an extent.

If I were you, I'd try flying one, but be sure to be looking around so you aren't giving your mind the idea that it is okay to shift all power to just the banshee and let it deteriorate the rest of the dream.

with enthusiasm which elevates me to heaven; for nothing contributes so much to tranquillise the mind as a steady purpose--a point
on which the soul may fix its intellectual eye."
