Make a plan (3-5 items) for lucid dream, and repeat it during a day several times. First items should be "Stabilize the dream". |

I have been becoming lucid about twice a month since I renewed my interest in lucid dreaming. However, each time I become lucid I can't seem to remember I have to stabilize the dream first. |

Don't panic, first and foremost. A lot of beginners think, "I'm dreaming! I have to stabilize right now before it fades away!" BAM! Back in the real world...the goal should not be to stabilize the dream as much as it should be to increase its clairity. Your dream will not suddenly melt away unless you think of it doing so. It would be more productive instead to get a feel for your senses, confirm you're dreaming a few times with additional reality checks, etc. Spinning is also a bit of a last resort. Found this out the hard way. |

It's common that the first reaction for one to have when becoming conscious in a dream is to want to keep the dream stable by any means necessary, and end up panicking. Strong emotions tend to either make you lose control of the dream, or fully wake up. |

Before you can become conscious in your dreams, you should become conscious of your reality. Dreaming is magical, but a dream will never reach the beauty of the world that surrounds you.
