So I became very interested in lucid dreaming this summer. Learned a few tricks and was able to pull it off. After doing it numerous times my dreams are becoming more realistic. I recall my dreams every night, but when I do there's nothing odd about them. I remember holding normal conversation and doing everyday activities. Maybe my brain doesn't want me too? |

you don't get why, Muggler, because you didn't payed attention to him. |

I don't get exactly what you are trying to say. If you go lucid in a dream, I'd imagine that you would get excited and try to do something interersting (like sex). |

Lucid dreams - why would you want to know?
like in previous dreams I would be in an apocalypse with zombies and realize its not real so I'd decide to fly. But now my dreams have become more life like and I'm having trouble realizing they are dreams. I do the light switch check, the fine print check, but I usually recognize it on the bizarre-ness of it. |
|
I would say that you need to identify the normal things you are doing within your dreams and start reality checking in your waking life whenever you do those same things. These can become your dreamsigns. |
|
i think the only answer can be that we need to have our brains removed. |

"If you realize Sunyata (the void), compassion will arise within your hearts; and when you lose all differentiation between yourself and others, then you will be fit to serve others." - Milarepa
Lucid dreaming *may* be more difficult in your case if nothing out of the ordinary usually happens. I would recommend auto-suggestion, for starters. Also, consider downloading/purchasing Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming (available online in pdf format). The section on awareness is truly fascinating. What you may have to end up doing is searching for any small thing out of the ordinary, or else get in the habit of doing physical reality checks throughout the day. |
|
Start making a habit to question this reality throughout the day, if dreams are becoming like this. Find a reality check that works for you first of all. But don't simply just blindly do that throughout the day. Every so often, or when anything even slightly out of the ordinary happens, assume you've been in a very vivid dream this whole time. Really believe it. Then use the reality check to prove/disprove it. |
|
I suggest you spice up your dreams with inspiration from fantastical fiction. Or do more interesting unusual things in real life. You dream what you live. |
