I don't have one on my hand but I have a piece of paper with "true" written on it scotch taped near my computer screen- worked on numerous occasions, just on my last LD yesterday I looked on it and it had "tat" written on it, at first I thought the scotch tape must have torn of the other letters since I like to vary it's position but then I did an RC and gained lucidity.

Sorry, but this is in no way a new concept It was one of the first I ever heard of other than DJing. And I've been unsuccessful with this after several days for some reason. I drew a small target on my palm (since I hate explaining why I wrote a certain word or letter on it) and I did probably an average of 50 RCs a day. Any time I either thought about dreaming or looked at my hand, I tried to stick my finger through my palm, and if that was unsuccessful I tried to read something close by then look away and read it again. I don't know why it hasn't been working, but I think it has to do with a dependence on noticing the target first, as that is what triggers 80% of my RCs.

I know, I'm just saying I've had no luck. But if others have, it must be at least semi-useful. Or very useful, in which case I must just be weird

your problem lies in the "a few days" bit -I can count the amount of times I actually saw this paper in dreams on one hand- it's main purpose is just to keep you aware when, say, watching tv.

Is that so? I just taped a piece of orange paper (like my other orange paper I keep in my pocket saying "Am I dreaming?" on one side and "Hmmmm.... Apparently not." on the other) onto my computer's monitor saying "True." on it, and where it is positioned on the monitor, it's got a good amount of darkness on it so I don't always see it there and ignore it. It'll remind me to RC when just sitting doing homework or being online for a long while. In the day time, I'll see it well, everytime I come into the room.

      Thanks for the tip!

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.
