      A question

so, I'm not sure if this is rare or not, but I usually hear that people wake up after they lose lucidity, but for me whenever I lose it my dream continues, but I forget that I am dreaming, and I also have the choice of forgetting that I am lucid. Can someone please explain this, because I do not know if this is rare or normal

Sounds normal to me. I've had that happen to me before, and I just gradually lost lucidity. I imagine it just means that the logic center of your brain is going back into its resting, inactive state, while not bringing you out of a dream. Nothing to worry about, as far as my admittedly untrained eye can see.

I'm not on DV much these days, but I'll try to toss a cool dream or two into my DJ.

      Hi Aledrea,

Usually when I attain lucidity and it slips from me, my dream continues and I participate in the "dream logic"--what was known as magical during lucidity becomes the normal reality and I am "tricked" by the dreamstate again.

      I call these half-lucid dreams.

Helps to do reality checks periodically in your dream even when you know your still dreaming. Same goes for stabilizing the dream, which goes hand and hand with the other.
