Angry First lucid night ends badly =/

This was terrible, it's 5am right now and I'm refusing to go back to sleep till later on today.
*before I tell what happened I'll say i did take a Vicodin at about 2am then actually went to sleep at about 3.
Right off the bat I realized I was having an LD, almost like i fell into one expecting it (WILD?). Then upon saying "Sweet and LD" I started to fade out. I tried the spinning technique but it just wound me back in bed. However it was like a cross between a false awakening and sleep paralysis.
I knew i was still sleeping but desperately wanted to wake up, I was just uncomfortable, i felt like a was falling /being dragged all over my room and that my parents were going to walk in and see me doing this and freak out.
Like, something would happen that was very dream like, such assome people I know would show up, so then i tried messing around with one of the girls and my balls started hurting every time I did, like really bad too. after each 'event' proved to be a dream i wanted to wake up but couldn't (SP) and then a new one would start. Id finally wake up if I relaxed but it was hard to calm down even though i knew what was happening (sort of).

I had 2 episodes of this tonight and they lasted for about an hour combined, the 2nd one was longer. It's discouraging because i felt like it was going to happen again and it did so now I really don't want to fall asleep again, but I'm already drifting.

any advice or answers? especially about the pain because I am still sore even though I am awake. Thanks.

I guess you learned at least two things:
      1. Drugs reduce control, which can be interesting if one is ready for it. Why did you take it anyway?
      2. The next time you just relax and let things happen.

I had a very similar experience. I was paralyzed and my body was vibrating like I was being electrocuted and as if that wasn't confusing enough, something dragged me along the walls together with my bed. I couldn't quite distinguish then if I was awake or not, because it was connected to a false awakening. I was switching between two dream levels several times and falsely assumed one was the waking state. One gets used to that kind of experience though, so I just relaxed and actually enjoyed what happened.

On another occasion I was lucid lying on my front fully paralyzed -- probably in the same position as in bed -- in some kind of dark and filthy backyard. Some semi-transparent white shades flew by and in the background there were some red-skinned demonic creatures. As soon as I had seen them, they noticed me. I still recall vividly how one of them quickly turned his head in surprise gazing with his glowing eyes. Then they all raced at me, still lying there in paralysis. I could have deliberately woken up, but I was more interested in seeing what would happen. Well, they had sharp teeth and when they bit into my hands and forearms, I could feel them sharply penetrate the flesh, although it wasn't really physical pain. Still I observed and woke up involuntarily after watching them gnawing my finger for a while.

Exceptional experiences prepare for dealing with exceptional experiences, not much else does. Repeatedly getting in extraordinary situations will build up your composure until you can handle such things with calmness.

Regarding opioids and dreams, I had no negative experiences, rather the opposite. I guess that strongly depends on the intention. If you just swallow some pill for whatever reason -- medical or not, you may be caught off guard by unexpected "side-effects".

My recommendation: Enjoy the ride! It's an adventure and there's no reason to panic. Let things happen and learn from it.

Oh, about the sore, don't worry. Sometimes pain in dreams can be very intense and you will continue feeling it after waking. I had a dream experience with someone drilling a knife into my arm for maybe a minute and when I woke up, my arm still hurt in the exact way. Also you may have strained your muscles from fighting against the paralysis. I once did when I brutally overcame paralysis causing several muscles to hurt for hours. Better to relax instead.

I took the pill because I had teeth pulled. Thanks for the advice though.
Also- the pain actually lasted throughout the next day, but i think I may have been laying awkwardly or fidgeting around when trying to get out of the SP.

When i once became lucid in a dream, i could not control myself and i got too excited.

The dream did not fade away straight away, but i had limited control over it and it ended fast.

I hope i remember not to do that next time i become lucid.

im pretty sure it was the vicodin. my friend broke his collar bone and his doctor gave him vicodin and at night he would have the most fucked up nightmares.

The feeling of being pulled down happens to me on occasion, that has nothing to do with any pills you may have taken. This sensation can actually work to your benefit.

If you just relax and let this happen a lot of the time you can fall directly into an LD with a strong connection. I've had some of my best experiences this way.

However if you find the pulling/dragging sensation too intense, the best way to end it is to jolt yourself up, or jerk your shoulder off the bed, just some fast hard movement, then sit up for about 5 minutes. You should be able to lie back down without fear of this sensation for the rest of the night.

How blessed are some people, whose lives have no fears, no dreads; to whom sleep is a blessing that comes nightly, and brings nothing but sweet dreams.
