      Question Need Help maintaing lucidity(Stabilization?)

Hey dreamers, last night i had my first lucid dream. I'm in the middle of going through a dream on autopilot when i say to myself "wait, wasn't i in my bed?" All of a sudden my dream world stops moving, the colors seem to fade, and the left side of my face get extremely heavy for some odd reason.I also became paralyzed when i tried to walk around my dream world. I tried to change the scenery while i was still paralyzed, which worked to some degree, I ended up looking at a moonlit window in what appeared to be my Grandmothers kitchen. When i tried to move around there, i realized that i had in fact woken up and was back in my bed.
My question is, how do i stay lucid longer without the dream world falling apart on me?

      Cool

      Hello NiteNDay.

You can try some basic relaxation techniques and visualization, before going to sleep, imagining and feeling that you are walking freely within a lucid dream, joyously exploring the dreamscape. That can greatly help. And to prolong the dream you can try spinning in your dream (whenever you find that you can move, that is), as well as rubbing your dream-hands together to stabilize the dream when you feel you are about to awaken. Many people have had success with both the spinning and hands-rubbing methods. (You can physically do these actions before sleep, to program your mind to remember this when you next have a lucid dream.) The MOST important thing to work with is your BELIEFS about yourself and your ability. Core beliefs. For example: "What thoughts do I have that would be preventing me from fully enjoying my lucid dreams?" Your Higher Self has the answers and guidance you seek. Paralysis in the dream state is a sign of fear, so that would need to be addressed first before you could master lucid dreaming, if this is a goal of yours. Usually, lucid dreamers encounter problems when they are anxious about lucid dreaming, being too concerned with attaining "results" rather than living more in the present moment. Be easier with yourself and congratulate your previous success with attaining lucidity, and you will soon enough find that your lucid dreams will be longer. Let go of any doubts you have in regards to your ability to lucid dream with ease, and I am sure you will have more enjoyable, prolonged experiences.

      Best Wishes
      Kar
