haha, Yea, waking life is a legit movie though, so it's ok.

I lucid dream because it's a way to be awake even whilst asleep, getting the most out of your time sleeping is how I roll. It's also a good place to learn more about yourself, in the sense of getting to know your sub-conscious. And lets not forget for FUN.

Oh, to remain on topic I think the best thing in lucid dreams is how it can help you in real life situations, I am trying to use it more to stop my social anxiety and it's working, even if it doesn't it can work as a placebo.
I also like to look at it that way. Either way you win, because even if it doesn't actually work then you still get the placebo. This is somewhat off-topic (and sorry if it's kind of a personal question), but how are you specifically using lucid dreams to help with your social anxiety? I've thought about using them for that same purpose.

Fun part would be experiencing another reality which is more fluid and surreal. I also find the different levels of awareness very interesting. The "you can do everything you want" isn't that interesting for me. Just taking a stroll is enough for me. And then there is women sometimes.....I really need to work more on dreamcontrol.

Well, I just force myself to think of dream characters as real people which generally tends to actually make me worried about what I say etc but there are no consequences, I sometimes make myself the attention of a crowd of people too. I have only just started to do this though, just thought the whole 'facing your fears' thing would be a good thing to try. It also helps me think of real people as a bit like dream characters giving me some more confidence in waking life.

Thinking of dream characters as real people sounds like a good idea; I hadn't thought of that before. So many things to try... I'd like to experiment with a useful application of lucid dreaming, but part of me also just wants to fly around.

Everything about it. The challenge of it. The vividness. The rush from realizing you're dreaming.

I also enjoy the weird feeling of consciousness while unconscious. It's like a weird form of virtual reality. It all just seems so bizarre, even for remembering nonlucid dreams. It's very mysterious and amazing.

I like realizing I'm dreaming and just having the freedom to do whatever I please
