      how to stay lucid?

Every time i become lucid, I always feel like I am going to wakeup and start feeling that I am laying on my bed and eventually wake up. I need some help on staying lucid, I try the spinning, but the feeling that I am laying on my bed makes me want to roll off my bed, but I dont actually did that.

Hm, have you tried rubbing your hands, or focusing on an object to stabilize?

Yep, engaging your senses is the way to go. Look around, feel your environment, smell the air, etc.

Absorb as much detail as you can, turning your focus outward instead of inward.

When I started a long time ago, this was a on going issue for me in certain situations. Sometimes now even once I realize im dreaming i start to fuzz and fade, and its nothing to do with over excitement, its just a curse or something lol...Rubbing you hands works really good, and spinning works really good. I mentioned once before a while back that spinning really fast as a child sometimes will make you wake up.. try spinning at a normal speed instead of really quick. I have found spinning at a normal rate and concentrating on the same scene or a new one will work. Dream spinning can savage a dream your already in that starts to fade. Some people say spinning takes you someone completely different but honestly dream spinning can take you where ever you tell it to go almost like a portal or simply it can save the dream and place your currently in. Thats all I gotta say Good Luck!

Follow my tutorial on my signature for this. Will HELP TONS!! Please come back and post experiences!

The first part of your problem is that you said you think about "I always feel like I am going to wakeup and start feeling that I am laying on my bed and eventually wake up." Thats your first problem. never think about the bed, waking up, or being in the bed. In this world, whatever you focus the most on will come into fruition. Also Check out my tutorial for more on this in my sig.

I agree. Whatever you most expect, is the most likely thing to happen.

Atkins513, I'm not trying to be a moderator or anything, but please use the edit button? It is there for a reason.
Dragonz, you have to will yourself to stay in the dream, and try to concentrate on something. As the others have said, smell the air, and all the other good stuff.
My suggestion to you is, that as soon as you start to feel like you are losing your lucidity, try doing a reality check. If you don't already know, Reality checks are a way to check if you're dreaming or not. For example, In my opinion the most efficient one is the Nose Plug Reality Check. All you have to do is plug your nose and trying breathing in through your nose. It is very simple, and you should have no trouble doing it in your dream.

If you ask why the Reality check to stay more lucid, the answer is that your body is being reminded that it is in fact dreaming, and your brain will respond with increasing your clarity and control. Your mind is very powerful, just telling your mind something already creates a memory/event/flag in your subconcious. There are some great MP3 files posted by NINJA. These MP3 files create a subliminal message that is sent to your subconcious while listening to it. This is just something that might help you get lucid more often. More information about subliminal message music can be found here: http://dreamviews.com/community/show...minal+messages
I recommend that one, because it has the best quality out of all of them.

      Good Luck!
