Ha I think I've forgotten how to lucid dream. :)

So I got kicked out of this forum for being too young, and now I'm old enough to come back. I haven't had a proper lucid dream for weeeeeks.

They removed the cap and changed it to 13 in appliance with the COPPA and other legal crap.

They also had a Junior Members program, which i was in before the cap change.

Tip: Never mention your age on any forum. People will patronize you, and often if you keep quiet then do reveal your age, you'll find nobody realized you were that young.

@jarrhead - Yeah, its thanks to people like us nagging about it.

Well welcome back to the forums. There was a point when I left for quite a long time and I lost my ability to lucid dream until I decided to come back with determination.

      I wish you luck

Oh and for the record, I lied about my age when I first joined hehe. I was 14.

Well, if you forgot how to lucid dream, this would be the best place to pick up again!

That is if you act old enough.

^ Yep that's what I usually do. But if I just said 'I got kicked out of the forum', then people will think I actually did something bad to deserve it.

Anyway the problem is when I realise I'm dreaming, I can't really think of anything to DO with my time, so I get bored, and lose lucidity.

When lucid dreaming, you need motivation. Think of some fun and interesting goals. Things you've always wanted to do IRL. Otherwise, do things to test the dreamworld. Examples:

      - Crash a car
      - Jump out of a 100 floor building
      - See how realistic water is in your lucids
      - Experiment with foods and attempt to experience taste
      - Go quiet and listen to the quietness of your LD
      - Be a superhero
      - Play an instrument

In my opinion, all you need to do to lucid dream is: keep a dream journal, get at least 7 hours of sleep a night, have MOTIVATION.

Actually, MOST of DV is particularly tolerant with people, compared to the rest of the internet.
DJs are really good. I know nobody likes to hear it, and even I am getting a little drained by writing out my dreams every day, but its well worth it.

That's funny, you know, because some people say it's easier for younger people to have LDs. ^^
      Anyway thanks for the help.

But not easier for them to appreciate LDs.

A DJ isn't a necessity, although i'm sure it works great and if you have a hard time with LD makes sense to keep. I had 2 lucids using WBTB/MILD and I remembered them very clearly and I rarely record dreams. I think the focus I placed on them meant that I remembered them later on.
The burden of proof lies with the one making the claim

99% of the time, a DJ(or some other form of recording: voice, drawing, etc) is absolutely necessary.

A dream journal is a must...

A dream journal improves greatly your recall and to familiarize yourself with your dreams.

      Dream Journal = Greater Recall
Greater Recall = Greater Possibilities for a DILD
DILD = Dream Induced Lucid Dreams = More lucid dreams.
Click the door... and welcome to my dream world!

Really percy? I went a whole two months without keeping a DJ and had 20 lucids. That's one every three nights.

The Pros & Cons Of A DJ

      Pros

      Improves recall
      Inspires and motivates other dreamers
      Inspires and motivates you
Allows you to read and remember dreams from way back
Allows people to help you, based off your dream progress
Allows you to make DV friends
Lets you share and read other peoples dreams (which is real fun)
Allows you to brag about your accomplishments and get feedback about your adventures
      Can help with lucid dreaming
      Can help with dream control

      Cons

      Takes commitment
Requires a lot of writing (some people hate this)
Can be difficult to setup (badly formatted DJs and neglected DJs will get few readers, if any)

I could definitely be your mentor, at least on the 'keeping a secret' matter. However, I believe that is quite pointless now that we can both stay here. Although, with no disrespect to those in charge, I would have stayed even if the decision was to keep it at 15 years old. This site is too valuable.

Lucid dreaming is another matter completely o_O. Fact is I have no patience to teach what I already know.

Ok it worked! I had two short lucids this morning, and they were great!

So around 7:00am my alarm clock rang and I ignored it, quickly falling asleep again. I found myself in a room. I don't remember the details of it, but somehow it dawned on me that I was dreaming. So I jumped out the window and attempted to fly (haven't done it in ages... I was scared I might be rusty) I didn't think, I just spread my arms out and flew. I didn't get very high, but I was glad I hadn't forgotten how to do it. Then I saw a huge swimming pool, clear blue water. I wanted to see if I could breathe underwater, so I dipped in. Sadly I never made it, I had a false awakening.

Somehow I managed to re-enter the same dream, in the same room. There were magazines everywhere and in each issue my picture was on the cover. I was some sort of celebrity. I opened the window again and there were heaps of people outside (my fanclub ha ) I remembered that dreams are clearer if I put on my imaginary glasses, so I did. It was so clear! At least for a dream. So I leaped out and flew, and this time I could get much higher and much faster. After a while it was effortless. I saw some wild horses trotting around and I wanted to ride them, but I couldn't get down. The wind was blowing me around and I couldn't stop flying. The flying itself was fantastic though.

Then I woke up, the end.

(oh this all lasted about 20 or 30 minutes)

Ok so this is the place I want to go to in my next dream. It's such a pretty house... and there is a lovely garden and a mouse circus and a theater too.
