They're called 'False Awakenings' and they're very common. Although I haven't ever had one they apparently happen all the time. |

I was having a Lucid dream and noticed I was, I became frightened and decided to wake up. While I thought I was awake, I was actually still dreaming! I got up out of bed, I was in my room going through check points to make sure I was awake in my dream; Opening the blinds and looking out of the window(saw a reflection of my laptop in the window), hitting myself in the lower jaw making sure I was awake (I could actually feel myself doing this in my dream) Even thinking about getting something to eat as I paced around my room. Then, all of the sudden my phone received a text message and that woke me up! I was in complete and utter disbelief also confusion. I thought I was awake already, but I was just dreaming I was. There is no telling what I could have done in my dream that I thought I was awake in. |

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
~Leonardo Da Vinci
Best reality check is to look at text or numbers (like on a clock or a book lying around)...look away for 5 seconds...then look back and see if the text or numbers have changed. |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Oh, ive had several of those. The first one I had really really scared me. The thing is, every time I wake up from a dream, I take my itouch from my beside table and just put in some key words so I can remember in the morning. Once I had this horrible nightmare and really wanted to wake up...so I did, and then I took out my itouch and I kept trying to put in my password but it kept telling me it was wrong. And with every wrong password the itouch would get bigger and bigger until it was HUGE. So yeah, thats really wierd. I should have immediately realised it was a false awakening but for some strange reason I didn't. |
