Thread: learning Japanese hieroglyphics = weird LD :)

Right, during the day I learnt my daily quota of japanese Kanji characters ( basically Chinese hieroglyphics that the japanese also use). One of the symbols I learnt was Cow... stick with me I'll explain why this is pertinent.



the book I used to study tried to "explain" this symbol as a top down "squashed" version of a cow with the head sort of near the left foot.

Now da dream

I was walking along a street and was passing individual cows - as I looked at them I noticed some disfigurements/weirdness in each. One didn't seem to have a head (wasn't decapitated/dead just alive but without a head like a weird creature), another one had poop holes all over the side, and another one was bent in a weird way that it was like a "2-story" cow with it's torso twisted in a very weird way. What's more is that the more I tried to examine each creature the weirder they got or changed somehow. I gained lucidity, grabbed one cows head but the dream destabilized and I woke up.

Indeed, I only realized the connection mid-day as I was reviewing the Kanji - hehe awesome how something so random can influence dreams. awesome vivid dream.

Indeed. Something happens in our day that just seems to stick with us and materialize in our dreams.

This happens many a times with me. But the dream will never be weird. It will be totally different then what I show in day time. Most of time I just forget such dreams but some I still remember and it just come again and again.
