It's more of a confidence thing, really, as are most of these superstitious things. IE, believe enough that "direction" will help you have LDs and you will probably have them more often. |

Does having your bed facing north-south really affect your dreams and or lucid dreams? I 'think' my bed is facing North at the moment, but I'm not quite sure, have never really checked. I have had it in a few different directions, but am a bit limited on where I can place it since it's a King size bed and one of the four walls has a closet right smack dab in the center of it, so that direction is no good. |

I number one way to have them is to wake up for a little bit then go back to sleep, works about 40% of the time |

I wanna be the very best
Like no one ever was
To lucid dream is my real test
To control them is my cause
I think it does. |

Actually, those threads are not quite the same topic. Those talk about your body position in relation to the bed. "the beauty who sleeps" is asking about the actual position of the bed itself. |

Yep I was more meaning the position of the bed, facing north, south, east or west etc, although those links are really interesting. The majority of the times I've woken up from a lucid dream, I was lying on my back, although I hadn't gone to sleep in that position. I find it difficult to fall asleep while on my back, unless I'm really really tired, but yes it does seem to work for hypnogogic images and LD. I tend to lie on my left side, one hand under my pillow and the other tucked under my chin, I guess in a sort of fetal position. |
