      Hitting a barrier on WILDing

I can do this on multiple occasions. A few times going to sleep, once this morning attemting to DEILD.

On both occasions I lay still for 40 minutes or so, by not my hands/feet are completely numb, or tingly. I see shapes, but I can still move if I want. Basically, I can't get any farther... Is it I can't fall asleep? None of these were with WBTB however.

The DEILD was from a normal dream if it matters. (But I did get these sensations much faster!) And the DEILD I only tried for about 20 minutes. Should I focus more on imagery? Am I not trying long enough? Should I make more of an effort to use WBTB?

Use WBTB, it is the only major supportive method of the WILD. Try as long as you wish, but don't expect to WILD in 20 minutes. If you wake up on your REM Cycle, WBTB for 10 minutes (I mean staying up 10 minutes) and WILD you have an 100% chance to WILD. But to succeed it, and remember it, that is another thing completely.

My advice is to not focus on anything and to not do anything at all. That is it, but that is what makes it so hard, because we get so many temptations to move and jiggle, but try resisting it and it will feel like a rubber-band being stretched, the longer you can stretch it, the longer you can last and faster you can WILD.

Increase your effort in not trying to put too much effort, in other words, RELAX to a point where you cant relax anymore and you should get there.

Ah, I wonder, whenver I WILD, I never reach paralysis until I'm fully asleep, so, maybe you are having the same problem?

Okay, I'll try not to focus on anything now, and I'll try relaxing my body fully before attempting.
