ok so i'm trying to have lucid dreams and am therefore always state testing and on the look out for dream signs. what if someone convinced me i was dreaming while i was awake? like fill my fridge with clocks and replace people i don't know very well, but see from time to time, with people who look a lot like them and act similar. buying billboard space and printing incomprehensible text on it where i would see it on my way to work. buying air time on tv and have a commercial for clothing made of ham. replace my cell phone with one made of hard candy but that looks identical. replace all my clothes with identical ones but all of the same color. have people walk around in swim suits and formal wear in the grocery store. it could go on but for real what would happen???? it would be like the meanest thing to do and would make a really cruel reality show like candid camera lol! just imagine me running around the grocery store yelling "i'm dreaming!!!" hilarious!!! obviously i don't really think this is a good idea, and i do not think anyone should ever do this idea but i thought people here would think it was funny to ponder such a prank. |

That would be pretty nuts, but what if you tried to do something crazy? Like try to fly or jump off a bulding. I don't think it would be hilarious after that. |

i've pondered that as well but unfortunately i think the nose-plug reality check would still be a definitive verification method :/ so you'd come to the conclusion that you're awake unless it has a history of failing for you/others in dreams |

I cracked a smile thinking about a fridge filled with clocks, but I have to say I laughed pretty hard imagining a commercial for clothes made out of ham. In a word Awesome! Should flip all the furniture upside down and everything too! Hahaha |

For in Dreams we enter a world that is entirely our own.
the nose check i've failed with flying colors! the only one that works really consistently is reading text multiple times. i've failed that when checking twice, quick, and continuing walking/driving but never when really applying myself and looking closely. the brain really can't keep text the same if you check it closely three or four times in a row, quickly. but it can let you think you really are holding your nose. at least that's my experience. so if you could somehow have a lot of text that looks like paper signs or metal/plastic but they're really flat computer screens you could change the text lol! how does the text RC thing work with you? |

If I ever get rich and famous I'm going to do that to my friend, who is also a lucid dreamer. It could be pretty dangerous though, especially if you consider the fact that I am currently trying to get over the pain factor in dreams. If I thought I was dreaming (but I wasn't) and I chose that dream to stab a knife through my chest, I would be dead. But still, pretty funny. |

nooooooooo! that's why i said: "i don't think anyone should ever do this idea." !!! lol, not good, just for funny |

If I was attempting the things that I do in LDs in real life... |
