It is suggested to stay awake for an hour after waking for the wake-back-to-bed technique, but after an hour I often find that I cannot get back to sleep, and end up remaining awake in bed until later in the morning.
I suppose I could try shortening the time down to say, 40 minutes, but that will probably lessen the effectiveness of the technique... still better than never going back to sleep.

Has anyone else found this/what do you do?
